Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

the snowpack was moist the whole way through. there was a rain crust at about 104cm up from the ground that had moderate results with a compression test, this layer broke on facets at the bottom side of the crust. We had hard results with a CT on the dec 15 surface hoar layer as well. Nothing propogated with a ECT and we had to cut most of the column with a PST to get results. it seemed like the dec 15 surface hoar is not as reactive as it was a week ago. At higher elevations it seems like there is a more recent layer of surface hoar but at this elevation it seemed like the rain from earlier this week may have destroyed it.
