The avalanche was a Natural release. This slide path has about an every other year freaquency. This avalalnche ussually starts with a glide crack that is visible from the Tressle ck road. Ussually the trigger is a sunny day or a rain on snow event. In this case, the sunshine on 3/18 caused the snowpack to become so warm that it couldn't support itself anymore causing the Wet slab avalanche
