Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

dug a pit on a SE slope at around 5400 feet, the december 15 surface hoar was still intact and easily visible and went on CT23, it did not propagate with a ECT but propagated easily with a PST. the other layer of concern was the new snow from the storm on friday night (dec 29) it broke at CT3. there were facets between the dec 15 surface hoar and the thanksgiving rain, under the rain crust was very solid to the ground.
