Although there is lots of deep, soft powder on South of the Border on the south edge of Silver Mountain in Kellogg, ID.  I was surprised to find a sun crust about 4 inches down on the SE slope area of Avalanche Ridge.  Also along the traverse before you go inbounds near the junction of Sunrise and Sunrise road.  This is something for back country skiers and riders to be aware of.
