The slab in the photo was a lower elevation and more sheltered from rimming on the SH interface. More exposed terrain had a ton more rimming in the earlier snow pack. Storm slab is wide spread and reactive at lower elevations. Todays mitigation had soft wind slab on our ridges but was unreactive lower on those faces at 6000ft, this area was below 5000ft. This slab was relased during our auxilary routes and was expected to be seen on this slope.
