More detailed information about the snowpack: 

Snowpack observations showed progressively denser snow to pencil hard thickness up to 150 cm. Several crusts exist within the snowpack including 1 meltfreeze crust 135 cm down that showed weakness during deep tap tests. Down 20cm a decomposing layer showed inconclusive results.
