Snowpit Observations
More detailed information about the snowpack:

We observed small but sensitive wind slabs on the leeward North facing sides. These propegated and slid easily on the test slopes we investigated.

We conducted a hasty pit on the north aspect, approximately 6300ft.  Column tests broke on taps from the wrist in the new storm snow and from the elbow on a buried surface hoar layer approximately 30cm down as well as a graupel layer from Jan. 7th, which was almost 70 cm down.  Both these layers had full propegation from the shoulder.
