Perfect blower day to be out. The proposition of free refills was awesome until I realized that meant the skin track would aslo be accumulating. Between the first run down and second trip up, 1-2in of snow had accumulated. By the time I reached the top to head back down, my recent board track was all but covered. Speaking of skin trakcs.. it starts in the usual place in the gully... Do you like kick turns? Prefer you skin tracks to be direct.. boy is there a treat for you. The bottom meanderd up with plentiful kick turns to get your practice in.. at the top, it's a strait shot. Access to Glidden is also looking really good. It was an unmolested sled ride in with only a few other people following the road. The entire road is packed down pretty good and the whoops that have plagued it in the past are all but gone.
All in all, it was a good safe day. My biggest concern up there was the tree wells with the lightness and lack of compactness of the upper 8inches to a foot of snow.
Have a great season, stay safe!
