More detailed information about the snowpack: 

In a 155 cm snowpack, sitting on top of fallen timber, we found instability in the upper two crusts within CTs, but no propagation on ECT. Shovel shear test showed a thin layer of mildly faceting rounds at 85cm. Overall, the melt that was shown on Southern aspects was superficial on a shaded northern aspect. Bottom line, it was stable on the slope, but it sure wasn't a fun run.
